If you are the parent or carer of a child who has Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus, we hold regular support groups for families with primary school and preschool aged children and their siblings. Our free stay and play session is held bi-monthly, on the second Saturday of the month, 10am - 12pm at different venues across NW Yorkshire. Our next session will on August 17th at the Donkey Sanctuary near Eccup, Leeds. See here for details. These sessions aim to build links and friendships within families across the region.

A similar group for older children, teens and young adults to get together and experience new activities is being planned. If you have a child who may benefit from our youth club scheme, please get in touch with Activities Facilitator Katy

We also hold information sessions, where the children are entertained whilst you get the chance to have your questions answered and access information. Recent information days have been education, school transition and continence. If you would like to request an information workshop please get in touch with us. We work closely with Shine charity, who have specialist health, education, support and development and occupational therapy teams that you can access.

We will soon be starting our new parent buddy project, to enable our newest families to access support at the earliest possible stage from others who have direct experience of bringing up a child with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus.

Please do get in touch with us with any activity request, question or support query. We will do our best to help, or put you in touch with somebody who can.
